Stone Keeper privacy

Effective date: 13 September 2026

Stone Keeper does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. Finds, notes, and prepared photos stay on the device.

Before identification, the app makes a new JPEG. Embedded EXIF/GPS is not carried into that prepared image. Precise device location is not requested. A place name can be typed optionally.

On-device Vision comparison uses a bundled reference index. The user’s photo is not added to that index or sent to a Stone Keeper server.

Your choices and deletion

You can use the collection and save a find without running identification. Deleting a saved find in the app removes its record and stored photos from Stone Keeper on that device. The developer cannot retrieve or delete your local collection remotely because the app has no account or remote collection database.

Feedback and support

The developer and privacy contact is Mats Amlie: matsamlie@gmail.com. Choose Send feedback at the top of Settings to open Apple's email composer when Mail is configured. Otherwise, the app offers to open an email app or copy the contact address.

Stone Keeper fills in only the recipient and subject. It does not automatically fill in the message body or attach photos, collection records, notes, logs, or other app data. You choose what to write and whether to send the email. The app cannot confirm that an email has reached the recipient.

Feedback received by email is used to reply to you and improve Stone Keeper. This includes the message you choose to send and the email address needed to reply. The email itself is deleted no later than 90 days after the case is closed.

This website

These support and privacy pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records visitors' IP addresses for security purposes. This is separate from Stone Keeper's on-device collection. Read GitHub's privacy statement for details.
